Misty mountain landscape of the Macizo Colombiano coffee-growing region

Rooted in Huila

Where the Andes Meet the Cup

Macizo Verde is a farm-direct exporter born from the volcanic soils and cloud-forest microclimates of southern Colombia's Macizo Colombiano.

The Region

Huila: Colombia's High-Altitude Heartland

Nestled between the Central and Eastern Andes, Huila is Colombia's most celebrated coffee-growing department. Elevations ranging from 1,400 to 2,100 metres above sea level, rich volcanic soils, and a dual-harvest calendar create the conditions for exceptional cup quality — bright acidity, complex fruit, and clean, lingering sweetness.

Why We Exist

Direct Trade, Transparent Pricing

Most Colombian coffee passes through multiple intermediaries before reaching a roaster. We cut that chain. Macizo Verde works directly with a curated network of smallholder families and cooperative members in the municipalities of Pitalito, Acevedo, and San Agustín — paying above-market prices, sharing cupping feedback, and co-investing in post-harvest infrastructure.

Farm-Direct Sourcing

Every lot is purchased directly from the producing family or cooperative. No middlemen, no mystery.

Rigorous Cup Selection

All lots are cupped to SCA protocol before export. We only offer what scores 86 or above.

Long-Term Relationships

We return to the same farms season after season, building trust and enabling producers to plan ahead.

Terroir Transparency

Every lot ships with full traceability data — farm name, GPS coordinates, varietal, altitude, and process.
